Wool is nature’s supermaterial, and we proudly use Ramtect® Merino Wool to insulate all of our jackets for its superior moisture wicking, breathability, heat retention, and lightweightness. In almost every technical aspect, wool is able to outperform almost any technical or natural insulator on the market.

Each of our Essential products is craft manufactured in our Calgary facility, specifically for you. Not only can we achieve a perfect fit, but we can add all the bells and whistles to ensure you get your dream jacket.

I went on a kayak trip in early September, 2022 and needed to upgrade some of my gear. I replaced my old rain gear with custom fit Spirit West SwitchBack jacket and pants. The fabric seems to be very similar to my Arcteryx coat but it's much quieter. The hood worked perfectly and was stiff enough that I didn't need a baseball cap. We had a several days of wind and rain and the coat and pants worked flawlessly. It's so comfortable that I'll be able to wear it around town too.
